DIN DIN is a monthly, community potluck dinner that serves as a space to share, engage, and discuss projects, inspirations, and opportunities.
An artist, collective, organization, or individual host DIN DIN. It is often centered around a theme; sometimes, a particular food or drink is part of the program. Attendees (but not necessarily to join) bring food or drink to share.
DIN DIN explores designing impromptu communities, sharing knowledge/learning, skills, opportunities, experiences, talents, or exchanges through food and conversation to engage in workshops, music, experiences, and artist talks; the form changes regularly.
The primary purpose is to provide opportunities to create new friendships, opportunities, inspiration, networks, and ideas within different communities.
Dinners were hosted on the first Sunday of the month at studio DE-CONSTRUKT (2016-2018) in Red Hook and have also been at other locations, including Berlin, Germany, and Yerevan, Armenia.
